If sharing Yoga with all ages is something that makes your heart sing, then the

Samadhi Yoga 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher training is for you. This

teacher training provides the skills, knowledge, and experience to teach pre- and

post-natal Yoga and Yoga for infants, children of all ages from toddlers to teens –

ultimately Yoga for the whole family. In four intensive sessions the training covers:

 

  • Asana – creating strong, flexible, balanced, healthy and peaceful bodies,

includes partner and group work;

  • Pranayama – supporting the link between the body and the mind;
  • Relaxation, Meditation, Mantra, and Mudra;
  • Cleansing practices such as Jala Neti and Trataka;
  • Songs, stories, games and activities that support Yoga practices;
  • Teaching methodology including learning styles, adapting to special needs, use

of props, modifications, injury prevention and child protection guidelines; class

structuring and management, and choreography/sequencing;

  • Yoga philosophy, ethics and lifestyle – living and teaching;
  • Anatomy, physiology, and child development from foetus to puberty;
  • Energetic anatomy including chakras, nadis, koshas, tattwas and gunas;
  • The sisterhood of Yoga and Ayurveda;
  • A conscious approach to conception, pregnancy, labour, delivery, and

mothering;

  • Infant massage;
  • Practicums with opportunities to observe, assist and teach under guidance;
  • Business skills such as marketing and teaching in a variety of environments.

 

The teacher training will be taught concurrently in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and modules may be attended in any country as long as all requirements are satisfactorily fulfilled.

Yoga Workshop for Care Childcare Practitioners & School Teachers:

Option 1: Techniques for enabling children to calm down (ages 2 to 5 years)

Option 2: Introducing Yoga for Infants

Each option is an interactive 2 hour in-service training workshops for early years teachers and nursery staff.  The courses aim to introduce safe and effective yoga techniques and practices for the relevant age groups, and how these practices can integrate into the pre-school curriculum and environment to promote calm and an overall sense of health & well being in infants and children.

 

Yoga Workshop for Additional Support Needs:

Calming Yoga Techniques for children & adults with

Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy & Sensory Defensiveness

This interactive 3 hour in-service workshop, aims to enable teachers, support for learning staff and health and social care staff understand which yoga techniques and practices best accommodate the different additional needs of children with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory difficulties. 

They will explore safe hands on assisting techniques, basic anatomical, physiological, emotional, cognitive and social benefits of yoga, and how to integrate these techniques into a child’s IEP/curriculum to promote calm and an overall sense of health and well being. 

The workshop will cover breathing, postures, relaxation techniques, meditation, colour and sound therapy practices safe for children with additional support needs.
