Yoga Workshop for Care Childcare
Practitioners & School Teachers: Techniques for enabling children to calm
down (ages 2 to 5 years)
This
interactive 2 hour in-service training workshop for early years teachers and
nursery staff aims to introduce effective yoga techniques and practices, and
how these practices can integrate into the pre-school curriculum and
environment to promote calm and an overall sense of health & well being in
children between the ages of 2 to 5 years.

Plagued by sinus problems, blocked noses during
yoga practice or wanting to learn how to safely do nasal cleansing with a neti pot? Zoi Chisholm will run an introductory class into this yogic
practice, followed by cleansing breath exercises, then asana practice and deep

£15 for the class with plastic neti pot provided.
£10 if you have your own neti
pot.
£6 if you wish to attend just the asana and
deep relaxation from 6.15pm.

Itinerary
Setting yourself for Success:
The cornerstone of your success as a children's yoga teacher is your personal
practice. You will begin the day with an experience of Sadhana,
the transformative power of daily yoga and meditation
In depth study of Children's Yoga:

and safety in postures
- Moving
out into the marketplace
- More
on special needs, at risk children, and Brain Gym
- Talking,
listening, connecting with children
- Special
focus on meditation with children

great Yoga Games!
- Introducing
yoga to children who have never experienced it

children through deep relaxation and meditation

The course fee last year was £405 (£365 earlybird),
inclusive of all materials, tuition, and website listing. This will be confirmed in March 2009.
RCYP is secular, having no affiliation to any particular religious
beliefs therefore making it suitable for all children. RCYP1 has qualified as
11 credit hours and RCYP2 has qualified as 8 credit hours for certification and
continuing education credits for RYT200 (registered yoga teacher, 200hrs)
status through Yoga Alliance (www.yogaalliance.com).
